American-Accent Training
for Indian Professionals working in the US

Need Help?
As a fellow native Indian speaker of English as a Second-Language, I can totally understand the problems that you might be facing as an Indian working in a native English-speaking country. Hearing responses like "pardon?, sorry...what?, could you please repeat that?" can be a major confidence killer when one engages in a conversation with natives(or non-natives from other linguistic backgrounds). Sometimes out of politeness, your clients might not even ask you to clarify what you just said, which is even worse! Unless we know we're making it difficult for others to understand us, there's no room for improving ourselves in the first place."At Accent-Tease, we understand how important it is for professionals to have a deep and reliable relationship with their clients, colleagues, or employers. Let's say you're in the medical industry, a doctor who’s hard to communicate with is the last thing your clients would want in the need of urgent help! To create a state of ease for people at your workplace, meetups, even small interactions, uninterrupted, well-received, and meaningful communication is essential."

BUT YOU CAN CHANGE IT ALL!
You see, it's not about how many courses you take or the volume of content you binge.....
We know that there's only so much time a medical professional can manage to invest in improving their speech. That's why, through years of experience, trying various ways to create the optimal conditions for our clients, we came up with our method.
Without proper guidance and feedback, consistent improvements are extremely hard to achieve.

At Accent-Tease, we help you see where you currently stand, what you need to work on, and how you can keep improving consistently!
Our method focuses on factors that actually determine how clear and natural you sound. Inside our training, you'll learn only what needs to be done, get regular feedback by staying in touch with your coach every day (you heard it) and learn how to stay consistent with the tools we provide you.
Our 6-Step Active-Acquisition Method to acquire the American Accent is will help you achieve your desired goals!

The 6-Step Active-Acquisition Method
What's included:
Step 1 - Mindset & Fundamentals of Active Accent Acquisition (In our first step, we cover how you need to perceive learning the American Accent and the attitude of an efficient learner. We then cover rules that you'll be using throughout the program to become a master self-learner. Finally, we cover a few basic sounds that Indian English speakers commonly struggle to pronounce, mainly due to their mother tongue's influence)

Step 2 - Phrasing (This is often the most neglected part that creates so many problems for Indian English speakers, as they tend to speak too fast for others to understand. In this step, you'll learn how to break down your sentences, take pauses, and slow down just enough to help others understand you better. We take this as our first step, as it's difficult to notice and easy to learn!)

Step 3 - Melody (Learn the melodic patterns and develop a sense of pitch variations, conveying meaning through tone. Learn to convey your emotions by learning the drama of American English, to establish a human-to-human connection with whoever you're communicating!)
Step 4 - Emphasis (This step focuses on learning how to emphasize the correct word to deliver your message to the listener clearly! After going through our interactive exercises, this step is one of the easiest to master!)
Step 5 - Rhythm (Unlike the widest spoken native Indian languages, such as Hindi, Telegu, or Bengali which are syllable or mora-timed languages. English on the other hand, being a Germanic language is stress-timed. It's also due to this very reason that Indian English speakers have a hard time getting understood when they speak so fast. So, our fourth step will be based on helping you learn how to put the right stress on your syllables)
Step 6 - Linking (This step is about the flow of American-Accent. Individual words in American English don't have an equal distribution of spacing. This makes Indian English speakers in comparison sound choppy. The better you understand and use connected(linked) speech, the more natural you begin to sound.)

What makes us different from others?
Here's what we offer along with the Training-Program:
-
Frequent Speech Critiques on your favorite social media platform - This one's massive! Throughout the experience of coaching my clients, I've noticed that learning has its own mood swings for most people (including me). There are moments of motivation and getting inspired by your favorite American English speakers when you want to speak something out loud. Shadowing is something I'm a huge advocate of and hence I frequently encourage my clients to mimic as many American English speeches as possible. So throughout our training, we'll stay connected on a phone app with a voice-recording feature, where you can send me your speech and I will critique it on the same day. You can send them whenever you want and as many times as you want! This feature of our program is truly a game changer.
-
All the training sessions are recorded for you - You can go back to your training sessions as many times as you want. Recall what you learned and see how far you've come since the first few session, these bits of success will keep you motivated to become an efficient speaker even after your training has been completed.
-
Get interactive and fun exercises - They will help you understand topics discussed in the training sessions to the core! These exercises also trigger your mind to stay active throughout the day as a learner.

Your Trainer
I started speaking English after graduating from high school. So, this is my 8th year speaking English. After becoming fluent in American English, I started working with professionals.
I have over 2 years of experience helping professionals from various backgrounds improve their communication skills. Throughout my experience, I've had the privilege of working with individuals looking to advance their careers in the USA and have learned from some of the industry's top American Accent Coaches. I was amazed to learn that such a large percentage of the total number of doctors working in the USA are Indians! However, I was also shocked to learn about the speech-related challenges they face in the USA... This realization has driven my passion for helping Indian doctors working in the USA improve their speech so that it doesn't hold them back from serving their clients in the best possible way and advancing in their careers.
My mission is to help Indian Medical professionals overcome accent-related barriers and effectively communicate with their patients and clients.
I wish to continue guiding them to clear and confident communication.
